Curassow Conservation
We believe conservation succeeds through trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. We work alongside communities and conservation partners to build capacity, support education, and develop sustainable solutions that benefit both people and wildlife. By investing in local communities, we aim to create lasting impact and help ensure curassows continue to thrive in their native forests.
Through research, education, collaboration, and action, Curassow Conservation is building a growing network dedicated to securing a future for curassows across their range.
Curassow Conservation is dedicated to protecting curassows and their relatives, members of the family Cracidae, one of the most endangered groups of birds in the Neotropics. These forest-dwelling birds play a vital role in maintaining healthy ecosystems, yet many species face severe threats from habitat loss, fragmentation, and limited awareness. Our mission is to support the long-term survival of curassows by advancing conservation efforts, strengthening local partnerships, and fostering a deeper appreciation for these remarkable birds.
